Your college essays are a pivotal component of your application. They shed insight on who you are and what youre all about. They make you more than just a student with perfect grades and near-perfect SAT scores. They make you human. And while every single word in your college essay matters (youd be amazed how even one word can turn off a college admissions counselor if that college admissions counselor happens to interpret the word as, say, arrogant), do you know what the single most important part of your college essay is?
